Community Based Fair Trade

Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalised producers and workers - especially in the South. Fair Trade organisations are actively engaged in supporting producers, raising awareness and in campaigning for changes in the rules and practice of conventional international trade.

FORCERT is a Fair Trade Support Organisation certified by IFAT, the International Fair Trade Federation. This means that the timber pricing and sales arrangements of the FORCERT Group Certification Service Network have been recognized as meeting Fair Trade standards.
